My philospohy:
A good coach is not one who seeks to mould the person to be like themselves, but one who accepts all that the individual is, and guides them to achieve and even surpass their own unique goals. This can be either just for the fun of participation, for exercise and general fitness, or to reach higher competitive goals. I help you through a personally tailored balance of education, targeted skill development, lifestyle and personal support.
Not everyone can dedicate their entire day to training. Personal lives carry demands on your time. Fitting those demands into a training program that works is absolutely necessary. If a program is too demanding then frustration, discouragement, and possibly injury can occur. Training needs to be not only be effective, but also fun, flexible and supportive. If the training is too light or unfocused, then the person is less likely to achieve their goals, and this also brings discouragement.
The best way to ensure that your needs are being met is through frequent communication and feedback. We will achieve this through a combination of e-mail, telephone, and in person contact. I am privileged when I am asked to coach you. I am therefore here to listen, respond, and work for you, and to bring my experience and knowledge to aide in your training.
What I need from you is your commitment, effort, and honesty. In return you get a knowledgeable, practical and realistic coach and my commitment to you. If something is not working for you, I need to know that in order to modify your personal training plan. Together we will get you to your goal!
